Post-apocalyptic fables

Series of works, wood, glass, paper, acrylic and illumination in various sizes, 2014-2015
Picture
City.  120 x 110 x 25 cm, 2014
This series of multilayered light boxes was developed through the last year of my undergraduate studies. I explored the post-apocalyptic idea for the first time. Not yet fully defined narrative allowed me to experiment with assembling various human animal hybrids, and to form a vast collection of paper clippings. The collection of the paper silhouettes, later progressed to categorised archive and is a continuous source of images to many of my works. I intuitively created the framed scenarios in each lightbox using natural motifs and animal imagery to invite the viewer to explore the details and elements and to form endless individual stories.
Romantic Romance

A series of objects, drawings and paintings, that seek to investigate the popular Romantic Novel. These are a few testings with the book covers' images, the false truth' the stereotypes and the weaving of twisted fantasies for the avid readers. 2011-2013.

Digital reality

A series of photographs where digital icons such as an arrow or an hourglass are embedded in the photo and symbolize the virtual space of the Neo-sphere.
Against the virtual environment (and concepts of manipulation, deception and exchangeability), the physical environment appears in the photos as a reality shot depicting objects from cardboard, strings and glue shaped as the digital icons. In fact, the photographs mimic digital “reality” in the concrete environment. 2010
